Announcement! Please Read...

My computer has been down due to the phone company working on the lines. They are saying it could possibly be in and out until Thursday, so needless to say I may not be posting till then. I will try to get back to everyone once it is completely up and running and will catch up. I have to use the computer at the library for now until all is well with the phone lines.

Pet Pride - Tread Lightly

Here's Tucker treading lightly because of the snow we had last weekend. For some reason I couldn't get blogger photo uploaded and to work last weekend, but back to normal now. This weekend however it is raining like crazy.

Halloween Treats and Top 10 Signs of a Weight Watcher on Halloween

I got these from Dotti's newsletter at Dotti's Weight Loss Zone These are really cute and a fast treat to make for Halloween parties.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carrot "Finger" Food

Ingredients
* vegetable dip
* 4 long carrots
* 1 medium carrot
* softened cream cheese
* sliced-almond
* baby carrots

Instructions

1. To prepare them, just fill a serving bowl with your favorite
vegetable dip. Wash and peel 4 long carrots for fingers
and 1 medium carrot for a thumb.

2. With a paring knife (a parent's job), cut a flat, shallow notch
in the tip of each carrot. Then use a dab of dip or softened
cream cheese to glue a sliced-almond fingernail atop each notch.

3. Stick the fingers in the dip, as shown, and serve with
plenty of peeled baby carrots for dipping.

Apple "Bites"

Ingredients

* apples
* slivered almonds

Instructions

Just quarter and core an
apple, cut a wedge from the
skin side of each quarter,
then press slivered
almonds in place for teeth.

Tip: If you're not going to serve them right away, baste
the apples with orange juice to keep them from browning.

Did You know?
"Americans spend an estimated $6.9 billion annually on Halloween, making it the country's second largest commercial holiday."

"The American tradition of "trick-or-treating" probably dates back to the early All Souls' Day parades in England. During the festivities, poor citizens would beg for food and families would give them pastries called "soul cakes" in return for their promise to pray for the family's dead relatives."

Pet Pride - Resting

This is my grandson and my son's dog, Chaos. My son is keeping one of the litter that Chaos fathered and named the puppy Havoc. This is a picture I took over the summer. I can't get pictures to upload right now here on blogger so had to use one that I had posted before with Camera Critters. Hopefully, this photo is new to anyone with Pet Pride. This dog loves children and is the sweetest dog I've ever met.
