What are you reading now?

I am just starting Under the Dome by Stephen King. It will probably take me about a month to complete it since it's 1,074 pages. I don't have extra time to just sit and read, so I will be trying to squeeze reading in where I can. I usually read in the evening or when I'm sitting at a doctor appt.

What about you? What are you reading? If you are reading Under the Dome, How are you liking it so far? Do you think it will be made into a movie? King's movies usually are. Give me your thoughts on this book and let me know how far into the book you are.

(Please don't put spoilers in the comments section incase others are reading it.)

I Found a New Meme called Wifey Wednesday

Okay, I found this interesting meme today called Wifey Wednesday.

I need another meme like a need another hole in my head. LOL. But, anyway, here I am deciding to contribute my two cents worth.

Today is Wifey Wednesday, well, maybe it was yesterday, but I found it today. Anyway, here's the topic...

So today, whether your marriage is a good one or not, ask yourself: What do we do well together? Quote from her website: "Ski? Camp? Play games? Plan? Hike? Drive? And whatever it is, make a point of doing it together at least once a week. You just may find that your attitude, and his, takes a dramatic turn!"

My husband and I are like a tag team when it comes to our grandson. He's 7 yrs old and loves to play and is always on the go. My husband plays boy things like wrestling, baseball, trucks, or whatever it is. When he gets tired, I take over with more of the crafty type stuff, or reading, etc. We also love to play board games with him. His favorites right now are Scobby Doo's Haunted House and Labyrinth. There's a kids version that is really easy.

If you want to join in on this meme, go to Shelia's blog. Don't you just love the name of her blog? It's called, to love honor and vacuum

Theme Day for Mcklinky- Favorite Books

This is one of my favorite topics so I had to join in on the theme day this week with Mcklinky.

The questions is: What is your favorite book? And, Why?

Wow! This is a hard one to answer. I have several favorites and I'm sure I'm going to forget alot of others. Since I couldn't just pick one, I'm listing a few of them. These are in no particular order and by far my favorites, at least for now.

Let me know in the comments section what your favorite book is and why? I'd love to read them since I am always looking for new books to read.

Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen

About a guy who lost his parents, joined a circus, and then aged and was stuck in a nursing home. He has flashbacks of traveling with the circus. I didn't pick this book up for along time because I thought to myself, there is no way I want to read about a circus. But, this book is far more than just about the circus. Loved this one.

True Colors by Kristin Hannah

About three sisters who run a horse farm and all the laughter and tears to go along with it. I actually cried while reading this book. How many books can make you cry outloud?

UnCharted by Angela Hunt

This book is about some friends who live their own lives and then reunite because one of them dies. It's hard to tell you about this book without giving it away. Let's just say you will go away thinking about this book for along time to come. A very good spiritual message in this one.

Unspoken by Angela Hunt

They teach a gorilla to do sign-langauge but when it comes time to really listen, they don't want to hear what she has to say. A very touching story.

The Fairlawn Series by Angela Hunt (Set of 3 books)

This is about a woman who gets divorced and inherits a funeral home and all the laughter and tears that go along with it. You can learn alot about what they do when you die to prepare you and your family for death and burial. Not anything morbid.
Here's the titles:
1. Doesn't She Look Natural
2. She Always Wore Red
3. She's in a Better Place

I happen to love all books by Angela Hunt. She is an excellent writer and her books always have a good message and a twist. Do you want to read a good book to your kids, get Angela Hunt's book called, The Tell of Three Trees.

The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers

This book tells a story of two women, from two very different generations traveling to Oregon. One traveled by wagon, the other one traveled by car.

A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

I listened to this on audio and it was funny. I loved how two old friends got back together and decided to hike the Mid-State Trail.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford

A love story about a young boy and girl, one Japanese and one Chinese growing up on opposite ends of the street and parents who thought it wasn't right for them to be together.
